Welcome to Olney HELP! We have been providing food and financial assistance to local families for over 40 years. Our clients call with varied reasons for seeking aid. Many are living on fixed incomes or find their income isn’t keeping pace with rising basic expenses. Others have experienced prolonged illness or injury which leaves them temporarily unable to work. Today’s economic climate is forcing many people to request help for the first time.

Our services include:

Emergency Food Assistance

Emergency food assistance—we provide a 3-5 day emergency food supply that includes both fresh and nonperishable food to individuals and families requesting help. 

Financial Assistance

Once a year, we provide limited financial aid to prevent foreclosure or eviction, to help prevent cut-off of utilities, and to purchase essential medications.

Referrals

We also provide referrals to other nonprofit, state and federal agencies that may be able to assist in providing food or financial help.

The shop provides a source for the community of high quality used clothing and household goods, and the proceeds benefit Montgomery General Hospital as they use the proceeds to purchase equipment needed for the hospital, fund scholarship programs, and so much more.

Volunteers are welcomed to serve as hostesses, sorters and in sales.
