Wherever You Go There You Are?

Sometimes we can't control where we are and we can't escape from ourselves because "there we are", but we can be driven by a purpose to make the most of each moment and circumstance and take control of our attitudes and thoughts.
What is Your Purpose?
Is it to make a lot of money? Be Successful? Inspire Others? Or is your purpose to respond to a Higher Calling?
This is probably the most important and empowering question you could ask yourself. The answer reveals a deep truth within yourself. You can find courage and capabilities you never knew existed before and realize a profound sense of authenticity and appropriateness about life.

If you answer this question, you will probably improve your performance at work, become a better parent, improve your relationships, and create more depth in your life. Knowing and living your Purpose will bring you clarity, commitment, fulfillment and an immense joy.
Did you know that Our Thoughts and Words Have Power?
We can choose how we want to respond and perceive various situations in our life.
That reminds me of a story -
A retired woman sits down on a bench and starts up a conversation with a man sitting next to her. She asks What do you do?" He replies, "I just got out of jail today." Oh, She asks what did you do? He says "I killed my wife and cut her up into little pieces. The old woman replies, "Oh, So Your single!"
When I was young I pondered the concept of "Is My Cup Half Empty or Half Full". I contemplated whether it was to my benefit to choose either one or the other. If I chose to think of my cup as half empty, I could insulate myself from disappointment when things didn't work out. If I went with half full, I could possibly help create more positive outcomes.

I happened upon the book, "The Power of Positive Thinking" by Norman Vincent Peale and was convinced that it is better to think of the cup half full. But be mindful, if you have a half cup full of sour milk, even if you pour it into another container, you still have sour milk.
We can help create wonderful things in your life simply by choosing to think that way or we can create more adversity in your life! The power of our mind can make things happen! A couple of examples are:
• You extend more love towards others, you will receive more loving kindness in return.
-or-
• You believe you attract the "wrong" kind of man/woman, and that's the kind that comes into your life.
Here are some things you can do in your life to help fulfill your purpose:
Live Favor Minded
Live with enthusiasm and expect things to work out in your favor. You may be surprised to discover that you will get more of what you expect.

Let Go of The Past
Don't allow bitterness to take root in your heart because of the past. Stop feeling sorry for yourself. Choose to let it go. You can choose to forgive others for your own benefit, not because they deserve it. Don't wait until you feel like it because that may never happen.
Change the Channel-Just like you use the remote control to change the channel on the TV. Learn how to mentally change channels when negative images of the past pop up in your mind unexpectedly.

Find Strength Through Adversity
Through adversity you can be strengthened. It also gives you an opportunity to relate more deeply to others and offer support through their difficult times.
Live to Give
We were created to give, not simply to please ourselves but to lift up others.
I encourage you to be on the lookout for people you can bless
Choose to Be Happy
Happiness is a choice! Happiness is a decision you make, not an emotion you feel. Learn how to laugh-quit being so uptight and stressed out. One of the healthiest things you can do is learn to smile more often.
When you focus on your true Purpose for being on this earth not only will you realize a happier, fuller life but you will help to spread more joy and peace to others.
